My Role

Building the Developer experience
Our API partners are the most agile and flexible, and we wanted to serve them first, so I focused on designing first class developer tools for easy integration.
Designing for Scalability
A primary goal of the platform was to allow our partners to grow with Experian, so I designed our product pages with upgrade and purchase flows to make our products feel accessible, and available

Enabling Customization
Our team designed a set of white labeled, embedded components for partners. Customization of these components was essential for our partners, so I designed branding and customization tools for our partners.
Design Systems
I partnered with our design systems lead to develop a design system for the platform. To keep implementation lean, we leveraged as much as we could from our existing design system while creating a look and feel that was clean, accessible, and appropriate for a SaaS tool.

User Testing and Iteration
We conducted 3 concept tests throughout the design process with 10 participants each, and 3 usability tests. This enabled me to design conscientiously with user insight.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact
As the lead designer, I drove the end-to-end design of the platform—from defining the UX strategy to delivering a scalable, high-impact solution. I ensured the design was holistic and future-proof by managing across teams and aligning stakeholders at every stage.
-
Led the UX vision & execution – Designed the platform from the ground up, shaping the user experience, interaction patterns, and visual system.
-
Defined product strategy – Influenced business and design direction by managing up and ensuring leadership alignment.
-
Orchestrated cross-functional collaboration – Partnered with product, sales, engineering, and marketing to define requirements and balance user + business needs.
-
Brought in key design expertise – Pulled in additional designers at critical moments to scale efforts and refine complex workflows.
-
Led user research – Drove usability testing and insights that shaped design decisions and improved user adoption.
-
Facilitated business transformation – Led strategic workshops to align the broader organization, ensuring adoption and buy-in across teams.
This wasn't just a redesign—it was a business-wide transformation, and I led the charge to ensure the platform was actionable, scalable, and seamlessly integrated into Experian’s ecosystem. 🚀
I worked with many talented people on this project, namely:
-
Jill Budden and Aishwarya Sivakumara, our research team.
-
Danny Damschen and Ryan Chong, our design systems lead, and production designer.
-
Phil Freund, Allen Rodgers, and Loraine Howell - the team of product managers responsible for implementation.
